About the role

The quality and safety of our products depend upon the lab technician’s ability to perform their responsibilities accurately. A high level of attention to detail is required, along with honesty, integrity, self-motivation, and a team-oriented approach. Technicians must hold or be able to obtain New York State licenses for DMC, drug residue testing, milkfat testing, and phosphatase.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing with accuracy and precision.
• Communicate lab information clearly to production and management.
• Troubleshoot and solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Apply judgment and implement solutions to problems.
• Analyze data and situations with critical thinking and attention to detail.
• Maintain a positive customer service attitude and team orientation.

Requirements

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure (whole numbers, fractions, decimals, percentages).
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating procedures, and maintenance documents.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to communicate effectively across shifts and present information in one-on-one or small group settings.
• Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to multi-task, follow detailed instructions, and support a complex operation.
• Self-directed with strong organizational skills and emphasis on accuracy.

Pay

$25.54 - $26.54 per hour.
