3rd Shift General Labor

Responsibilities

• Read work orders to determine materials needed for production.
• Load and unload paper stock, materials, and finished products by hand.
• Move materials between storage areas, production equipment, and designated locations.
• Stack, bundle, band, wrap, and prepare finished materials for shipment.
• Apply identification tags and labels to materials and containers.
• Assist press operators with machine setup and press web-up.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Perform minor maintenance and assist machine operators as needed.
• Complete basic production paperwork and inventory documentation.
• Safely operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, carts, dollies, and other material handling equipment.
• Follow all company safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), hazardous waste handling, and required PPE.
• Absorb and communicate instructions from supervisors.
• Assist with training new material handlers when assigned.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous warehouse, manufacturing, production, or material handling experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding of warehouse procedures and inventory movement.
• Ability to follow written work orders and production instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, quality, and workplace safety.
• Good communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work overtime when required.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing 20–50 lbs.
• Occasionally exert up to 100 lbs. of force when moving materials.
• Stand, bend, reach, walk, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
• Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining production standards.
