3rd Shift Freight Handler

Responsibilities

• Safely remove pallets of product from the trailer and break down the product for the correct pallet configuration.
• Separate inbound freight by item code onto good pallets.
• Ensure damaged product is properly accounted for and not received into the warehouse for sale inventory.
• Account for the structural integrity of pallets.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Ability to work in extreme cold or hot conditions (‑25°F to 100°F).
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Successfully pass a drug test and background check.
• If currently employed by a Gordon Food Service customer, provide a letter of support from management if selected for interview.
• No prior experience required; training will be provided.

Pay

Starting at $19.60/hour (includes a $1.00 2nd shift premium). Plus, earn two pay raises in your first year and earn more per hour for speed and efficiency.

Schedule

Work schedule: Sunday‑Thursday, with Friday mandatory based on work volume. 3rd Shift: 9:45 PM – 5:45 AM (shifts vary based on work volume).
