Responsibilities
- Inspect electrical systems (equipment, wiring, fixtures, components, etc.) identifying/addressing hazards/issues and ensuring functionality and Electrical code compliance.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems to identify and address root cause of malfunctions.
- Test and validate proper operation of equipment after repairs.
- Utilize various test equipment (multi-meters, oscilloscopes, scanners, etc.).
- Perform corrective, preventive maintenance, and calibrations.
- Read and interpret blueprints/design schematics to comprehend the system design intent and provide correct service and repairs.
- Provide suggestions on the lifespan of equipment and other electrical components, advising when certain components should be replaced due to potential risks.
- Diagnose varying PLC/robotic/system faults.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Comply with company procedures, rules, and regulations.
- All other duties as assigned by supervision.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years experience with troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints/design schematics.
- Strong verbal and oral communication skills.
- Experience troubleshooting and repair of PLCs, scanners, cameras, motors, etc.
- Ability to work in a strong safety-focused environment.
- Ability to work any shift and overtime as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
- Relevant electrician certifications.
- Proven problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Familiar with Allen Bradley MicroLogix, ControlLogix, and SLC controllers & systems.
- Familiar with Siemens controllers & systems.
- Ability to read and interpret PLC logic.
