3rd Shift Electrician

Responsibilities

• Inspect electrical systems (equipment, wiring, fixtures, components, etc.) identifying/addressing hazards/issues and ensuring functionality and Electrical code compliance.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems to identify and address root cause of malfunctions.
• Test and validate proper operation of equipment after repairs.
• Utilize various test equipment (multi-meters, oscilloscopes, scanners, etc.).
• Perform corrective, preventive maintenance, and calibrations.
• Read and interpret blueprints/design schematics to comprehend the system design intent and provide correct service and repairs.
• Provide suggestions on the lifespan of equipment and other electrical components, advising when certain components should be replaced due to potential risks.
• Diagnose varying PLC/robotic/system faults.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Comply with company procedures, rules, and regulations.
• All other duties as assigned by supervision.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years experience with troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/design schematics.
• Strong verbal and oral communication skills.
• Experience troubleshooting and repair of PLCs, scanners, cameras, motors, etc.
• Ability to work in a strong safety-focused environment.
• Ability to work any shift and overtime as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
• Relevant electrician certifications.
• Proven problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Familiar with Allen Bradley MicroLogix, ControlLogix, and SLC controllers & systems.
• Familiar with Siemens controllers & systems.
• Ability to read and interpret PLC logic.
