About the role

Responsibilities
- Maintain and operate deburring and air grinding tools and operate speed lathes.
- Read blueprints in order to verify work was completed properly.
- Operate and do daily/weekly checks on equipment.
- Accurately participate in the COPQ process, utilizes ACE portal for issues or process improvement.
- Accurately complete production documentation and performs necessary labor transactions.
- Operates hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment and light equipment.
- Works under direct supervision. Normally follows established procedures on routine work.
- Requires instructions on new assignments. Applies basic job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
- Tasks are semi-routine in nature, but recognizes the need for some judgment.
- Support and follow all rules/guidelines/standards set by EHS, Quality, and CI functions as set by your leader and position.
- Actively participates in the Continuous Improvement process as well as safety related activities.
- Over 40 hours is required as scheduled to meet business needs.
- All other duties as assigned including working extended shifts/overtime as required by the business.
- This is 3rd shift position Monday through Friday 10pm – 6am.
- Training however will be the first 3-6 months Monday through Friday, 6am – 2pm.
Qualifications
- Typically requires HS Diploma or equivalent or vocational/technical education in related discipline.
- Qualifications We Prefer:
- Ability to learn how to read and understand prints.
- Basic computer proficiency (e-mail, print documents, internet).
- Ability to learn how to operate a computer to access prints and/or specified work instructions.
- Basic shop math including knowledge of Geometric Tolerances.
- Basic proficiency with identifying, analyzing and resolving problems.
- Ability to learn the various inspection tools needed for the job.
- Ability to learn the tools (ball burr, flame bit etc.) needed for each job.
- Ability to learn and understand deburring operations.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and management.

Pay
