3rd Shift, Deburring Technician I_ Onsite

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate deburring and air grinding tools and operate speed lathes.
• Read blueprints in order to verify work was completed properly.
• Operate and do daily/weekly checks on equipment.
• Accurately participate in the COPQ process, utilizes ACE portal for issues or process improvement.
• Accurately complete production documentation and performs necessary labor transactions.
• Operates hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment and light equipment.
• Works under direct supervision. Normally follows established procedures on routine work.
• Requires instructions on new assignments. Applies basic job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
• Tasks are semi-routine in nature, but recognizes the need for some judgment.
• Support and follow all rules/guidelines/standards set by EHS, Quality, and CI functions as set by your leader and position.
• Actively participates in the Continuous Improvement process as well as safety related activities.
• Over 40 hours is required as scheduled to meet business needs.
• All other duties as assigned including working extended shifts/overtime as required by the business.
• This is 3rd shift position Monday through Friday 10pm – 6am.
• Training however will be the first 3-6 months Monday through Friday, 6am – 2pm.

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS Diploma or equivalent or vocational/technical education in related discipline.
• Qualifications We Prefer:
• Ability to learn how to read and understand prints.
• Basic computer proficiency (e-mail, print documents, internet).
• Ability to learn how to operate a computer to access prints and/or specified work instructions.
• Basic shop math including knowledge of Geometric Tolerances.
• Basic proficiency with identifying, analyzing and resolving problems.
• Ability to learn the various inspection tools needed for the job.
• Ability to learn the tools (ball burr, flame bit etc.) needed for each job.
• Ability to learn and understand deburring operations.
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and management.

Pay
