3rd Shift City Driver

About the role

You will report to the Warehouse Manager and Supervisor and be located onsite in Marshall, MO. You will operate a semi-truck to transfer trailers to needed locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre/post trip safety checks on the vehicle following DOT regulations.
• Locate and attach trailers in the yard, including climbing into the vehicle and operating controls.
• Communicate with loaders to identify the proper trailer, ensure doors are open and secure, and attach the trailer to the yard tractor.
• Manually crank landing gear up and connect brake lines.
• Guide the yard tractor and trailer to appropriate loading docks or yard storage locations.
• Secure trailers by manually cranking landing gear down, removing the fifth wheel pin, and releasing brake lines.
• Conduct trailer inspections to identify damage or wear; "red tag" trailers or tractors for maintenance as needed.
• Check fluids by manually opening the hood and conducting inspections.
• Guide tractors to fuel islands for refueling and daily service.
• Clean the cab of the tractor and dispose of trash properly.

Requirements

• At least one year of manufacturing experience.
• Proper licensing (Class A CDL License).
• DOT physical and high school diploma or GED.
• Post-offer drug screen and background screen.

Physical demands

• Frequently climb 14" steps and 2–3" steps.
• Frequent driving of a tractor switcher.
• Frequent sitting and reaching.
• Manual tasks include lifting up to 50 lbs., cranking landing gear, and operating controls with specific reach and force requirements.

Pay

Starting at $23.09 per hour plus shift differential; $23.34 per hour plus $0.75 shift differential.

Schedule

9:30 PM–5:30 AM; must be flexible to work any shift or workweek. Overtime availability based on business needs.
