3rd shift CDL A Truck Driver

About the role

The position involves driving a tractor and trailer combination or straight truck to transport ingredients, packaging, supplies, and finished goods between facilities and vendors. This includes loading and unloading at various locations such as drop lots, warehouses, freezers, and coolers. The role also involves delivering finished goods to customers and picking up raw materials, packaging, and supplies from vendors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a neat and organized work area.
• Assist in the training of new employees.
• Use a tractor and trailer combination or straight truck.
• Move raw materials, packaging, supplies, and finished goods to and from the truck, trailer, warehouse, freezer, and cooler.
• Load and unload ingredients, packaging, and supplies from other facilities or outside sources.
• Monitor, record, and communicate the movement of trailers in the drop lots.
• Deliver finished goods to customers.
• Pick up raw materials, packaging, and supplies from vendors.
• Perform daily checks and accurately complete all required paperwork.

Requirements

• Must have a valid company insurable Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License.
• Must wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as provided.
• Must be able to work as part of a team.
• Must be at least 18 years of age to be eligible for employment at Monogram Foods.
• Must be available on weekends upon request.

Qualifications

• A High school Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Must have the ability to understand and communicate effectively.
• Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide; round decimals to the nearest whole number; measure and input numbers to calculate correct formulas.

Physical Demands

• The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, fingers, and arms to handle, feel, and reach.
• The employee must frequently sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel or crouch.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 110 pounds.
• The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and extreme cold; wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places.
• The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.

Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment

• Driving outside.
• Ambient temperatures.
• May use forklift, motorized pallet jack, and pallet jack.
• Personal Protective Equipment: Safety shoes as needed.
