Schedule

Sunday–Thursday with possible weekend work as needed. Possible 12-hour days. Travel requirements: 0–5%.

Responsibilities

• Receive and evaluate hogs as they arrive at the plant.
• Count and sort off-quality hogs.
• Supervise hourly union workforce in completion of duties.
• Complete necessary paperwork.
• Comply with relevant laws, rules, and procedures, including Packers and Stockyards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bilingual (preferred but not required).
• Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Experience in swine production, laws, and regulations in human handling.

Skills

• Strong organizational skills.
• Communication skills – written and verbal including phone etiquette.
• Good work history including attendance.
• Team player among all shifts.

Physical Requirements

• Desk work.
• Climbing stairs.
• A lot of walking.
• Exposed to different temperatures: hot, cold, humid.

Pay

Base hourly: $21.78–$24.50.

Incentive pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan; the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program.
