3rd Grade Teacher - Cornerstone Academy
About the role
Cornwallstone Academy is seeking a dedicated 3rd Grade Teacher to lead students in achieving excellence across academic, social, physical, and spiritual development guided by Christian principles. Reporting to the Assistant Principal, this role involves planning and conducting balanced student experiences through various teaching methods.
Responsibilities
- Instruct students individually and in groups using lectures, discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on activities.
- Prepare classroom and materials for class activities.
- Establish clear lesson objectives and project goals.
- Assign and grade class work and homework.
- Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by law and administrative regulations.
- Use technology to teach and communicate with students, administration, and parents.
- Supervise all activities and field trips to ensure the safety of each child at all times.
- Meet with parents to discuss their child's progress.
- Work with same-grade level teachers.
- Attend meetings, open houses, and professional training.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum requirements include a current California Preliminary or Cleared Multiple/Single Subject Teaching Credential, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Classroom management skills.
- One year of Microsoft Office Suite experience.
Preferred Requirements
- One year of experience working in a classroom setting.
- One year of experience working in a Christian school.
