About the Role

This position plans and implements an instructional program and provides related educational services for students in grades K-5. The role involves managing student behavior, assessing and evaluating student achievement, and modifying instructional activities as required. Additional responsibilities include a variety of student monitoring and control activities, as well as related duties as assigned.

This position serves as a general education, elementary classroom teacher (K-5). Classes may be taught in a single, team, or departmental setting, though teachers may work independently in a unique teaching specialty. Some positions are assigned to reading or technology labs. The role operates under the general supervision of a principal or other designated administrator.
