This is a 1.0 FTE Leave Replacement position for the 2026-2027 school year.

About the role

Ella Baker Elementary in Lake Washington School District is seeking a qualified Elementary Classroom Teacher (3rd Grade) for the upcoming academic year. The position is a paid leave replacement role.

Responsibilities

• Teach third-grade curriculum aligned with state standards.
• Plan and implement lessons that meet the diverse needs of students.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to parents and guardians.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective instructional strategies.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

• Washington State teaching certificate with Elementary Education endorsement.
• Experience teaching third grade preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other educators and support staff.

Qualifications

• Effective classroom management skills.
• Knowledge of current educational theories and practices.
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.

Pay

Paid per teacher salary schedule with Base contract plus additional contracts for LEAP days, and Responsibility. Additional Technology stipend and Professional Fund. See LWEA salary schedule posted on website.

The schedule will be determined based on the needs of the district and the individual teacher's availability.
