Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide total care for residents on assigned unit during scheduled shift as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Collaborate with allied health team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with policy and evaluate effectiveness
- Maintain an environment that supports residents’ physical, emotional, and social well-being
- Educate residents and families about care plans, treatments, and procedures
- Monitor team performance and support staff development, evaluations, and corrective actions as needed
- Assign and oversee nursing duties to ensure tasks are completed appropriately and efficiently
- Identify and respond to significant changes in residents’ conditions
- Accurately document care provided, changes in condition, and other relevant information per facility guidelines
- Act as a charge nurse and serve as a resource for staff, offering clinical support and decision-making guidance
- Follow all facility and departmental safety protocols
Skills And Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing education program
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois
- No history of abuse convictions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to follow facility policies and support quality care
- Must be able to work effectively with residents of varying ages and medical needs
- Must meet physical job requirements, including occasional lifting, bending, and standing
