Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood or related field from an accredited institution (NYS certification preferred)
• Masters degree in early childhood or related field from an accredited institution
• Certified B-2 level (for those with a Bachelor's degree)

Pay

• Bachelor's degree: $40,000
• Bachelor's degree + Certified B-2: $61,070
• Masters degree: $41,200
• Masters degree + Certified B-2: $68,652

About the Role

Develop schemes of work and lesson plans.
Plan and implement individual educational plans for children, which supports their development socially, intellectually, linguistically, physically, and emotionally in a manner appropriate to their age and stage of development.
Provide early learning experiences in social-emotional development, literacy, language, mathematics, sciences, social studies, physical education, fine arts, foreign language, and other subject matter suited to the needs of children.
Develop and maintain a developmentally appropriate classroom environment favorable to the development and personal growth of children.
Prepare classroom a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities.
Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
Use relevant technology to support instruction.
Observe and evaluate student's performance and development.
Enter and maintain classroom and child data.
Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students.
Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws, district policies and school regulations.
Regularly meet with classroom teacher and the Education director to review classroom and child data, develop action plans, and support goal achievement through active collaboration.
Participate in department and school meetings, parent meetings.
Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs.
