3D Surface Modeler – Heavy Civil Construction Industry

Responsibilities

  • Work with client teams to gather site data necessary for creating 3D surface models.
  • Review client-provided CAD files and plans to ensure all necessary data is available.
  • Communicate any omissions or issues identified to the client.
  • Develop layout maps and 3D surface models to meet client requirements.
  • Collaborate on multiple projects simultaneously, often with tight deadlines.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Construction or Civil Engineering, or equivalent heavy civil work or surveyor experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience building 3D surfaces using Trimble Business Center, Carlson Civil, AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation InRoads, or Terramodel.
  • Experience with Trimble, Topcon, Leica machine control and construction layout equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of and ability to read construction plans.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet project deadlines in a remote work environment.

Pay

Salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 annually

Schedule

This is a primarily remote position, with occasional travel to job sites in the market.

Benefits

Tri-Point will provide the necessary tools to build 3D models, including computer/monitor(s)/software(s).
