3D Field Technician

Responsibilities

• Show up on time ready to work every day
• Follow all safety rules and regulations
• Set up and maintain UTS (Universal Total Station) for stringless paving operations, specifically Trimble
• Basic layout and grade control within the construction of the projects
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Skills

• Communicate with all positions of the workforce
• Basic math skills
• Work extended hours in a construction environment
• Basic problem solving and decision-making skills
• Possess a general understanding of daily technological devices (i.e. computer, tablet, phone, etc.)
• Lift and carry equipment on uneven terrain when necessary
• Work and complete tasks assigned without direct supervision

Education/Experience

• High school diploma
• Experience in the roadbuilding industry, or in a related field, is a plus

Work Environment/Physical Abilities

• The physical abilities of this position require the employee to spend long periods of time on their feet.
• Lifting requirement of up to 50 pounds.
• The ability to maneuver throughout a construction site with the necessary equipment to complete tasks.
• Employee must have reliable transportation to be able to get to job sites and be willing to travel when needed.
• This is a field construction position and the day-to-day conditions that are associated with that.
