3B Medical - Registered Nurse (RN) - FT Day Shift

About the role

The 3B General Medical Unit at Christiana Care Hospital in Newark seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time day shift position (7a-7p), with weekend and holiday coverage as per department guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with a variety of diagnoses including diabetes, GI bleed, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, sickle cell, and pancreatitis.
• Participate in a growing team known for strong leadership and mentorship to support career development.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
• Candidates must commit to obtaining a BSN within three years of the hire date.
• At least one year of experience as an RN, with preference given to those with 1-2 years in acute care.
• BLS certification required.

Qualifications

• Education: BSN preferred, ADN required.
• Experience: At least one year of experience as an RN, with preference for those with 1-2 years in acute care.
