Schedule

36 hours per week; 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM); every other weekend and a holiday rotation.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical, mental, and psychological status of patient using age-appropriate knowledge.
• Plan, evaluate, and supervise care of all patients assigned.
• Work collaboratively with other disciplines in care of patients.
• Participate in formal and informal educational programs to improve technical skills.
• Responsible for continued learning and application to practice.
• Synthesize patient care information to formulate appropriate nursing diagnosis.
• Responsible for providing patient and family education.
• Work practice reflects philosophy, purpose, and policies of the hospital and department.

Requirements

• Current MA nursing license.
• Current Emergency Department Nursing experience required.
• BLS & ACLS Certification.
• Demonstrates clinically competent assessment skills.
• Demonstrates ability to perform under stressful situations.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and excellent organizational skills.
• Communicates effectively.
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with evidence of completion of critical care course or equivalent, or demonstration of previous experience with cardiac drips, conscious sedation, or other critical activities (recommended).
• TNCC, CEN, or Defibrillation Certification (preferred).
• EMS experience (Paramedic, EMT) will be considered.

As with all job assignments, staff may be floated to areas where they are needed.

Pay

Pay range: $37.14 - $82.22 per hour. This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The pay range listed is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably expects to pay, governed by the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
