Schedule
36 hours per week; 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM); every other weekend and a holiday rotation.
Responsibilities
- Assess physical, mental, and psychological status of patient using age-appropriate knowledge.
- Plan, evaluate, and supervise care of all patients assigned.
- Work collaboratively with other disciplines in care of patients.
- Participate in formal and informal educational programs to improve technical skills.
- Responsible for continued learning and application to practice.
- Synthesize patient care information to formulate appropriate nursing diagnosis.
- Responsible for providing patient and family education.
- Work practice reflects philosophy, purpose, and policies of the hospital and department.
Requirements
- Current MA nursing license.
- Current Emergency Department Nursing experience required.
- BLS & ACLS Certification.
- Demonstrates clinically competent assessment skills.
- Demonstrates ability to perform under stressful situations.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and excellent organizational skills.
- Communicates effectively.
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Experience with evidence of completion of critical care course or equivalent, or demonstration of previous experience with cardiac drips, conscious sedation, or other critical activities (recommended).
- TNCC, CEN, or Defibrillation Certification (preferred).
- EMS experience (Paramedic, EMT) will be considered.
As with all job assignments, staff may be floated to areas where they are needed.
Pay
Pay range: $37.14 - $82.22 per hour. This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The pay range listed is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably expects to pay, governed by the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
