About the role

Intelligence is crucial to the security of our nation. This role involves gathering information about adversaries' intentions, strengths, vulnerabilities, and capabilities to support military planning and defense.

Responsibilities

  • Screen human intelligence sources and documents
  • Debrief and interrogate human intelligence sources
  • Conduct human intelligence operations
  • Analyze and prepare intelligence reports

Requirements

  • Military enlistment in the Army National Guard
  • At least a junior in high school or have a high school diploma/GED certificate
  • Between the ages of 17 and 35
  • Pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
  • Meet citizenship requirements (see NATIONALGUARD.com for details)

Qualifications

  • Ability to speak in foreign languages
  • Gathering and analyzing information
  • The ability to think, speak, and write clearly
  • An outgoing personality
  • Proficiency in reading maps and charts

Skills

  • Human Intelligence analysis
  • Utilizing premier digital and analytical tools to gather information and create products for the Commander
  • The ability to use sophisticated mapping tools, intelligence networks, and systems to identify the evolving threat on the battlefield

Pay

  • Initial earnings between $200 and $250 per drill weekend, subject to change
  • Additional pay each month for maintaining language proficiency, ranging from $100 to $500 per month for your primary language, and up to $1,000 total if you maintain proficiency in additional languages

Schedule

  • 10 weeks of Basic Training
  • 6 to 18 months of language training
  • 15 weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT)
