35G Imagery Analyst

About the role

A National Guard Geospatial Intelligence Imagery Analyst plays a vital role in protecting U.S. personnel by providing accurate battlefield information to commanders. This position involves analyzing various types of imagery and data to support strategic planning.

Responsibilities

• Examine and interpret aerial and ground photographs, as well as electronic imagery
• Identify military installations, facilities, weapon systems, and defensive structures
• Distinguish changes to the battlefield through imagery analysis
• Conduct Battle Damage Assessment

Requirements

• Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard
• Must be at least a junior in high school or have a high school diploma/GED

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication abilities
• Interest in reading maps and charts

Skills

• Analyzing fixed/moving target indicators and geospatial data
• Planning overhead and aerial imagery collection
• Gathering information using sophisticated mapping tools and digital/intelligence networks

Pay

• Initial earnings between $200 and $250 per drill weekend, subject to change

Schedule

• 10 weeks of Basic Training
• 22 weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT)
