About the role

We are seeking a skilled software engineer to join our product development team. This role focuses on building scalable backend services and improving system performance across our core platform.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance RESTful APIs and microservices
• Collaborate with frontend engineers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Optimize database queries and data models for speed and scalability
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical design discussions
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement reliable fixes
• Write automated tests and maintain comprehensive documentation

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development
• Expert proficiency in Python and Django or similar web frameworks
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL and Redis
• Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda)
• Understanding of containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience

Pay

• Base salary range: $140,000 – $170,000 annually
• Performance-based bonus up to 15%

• Core collaboration hours: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM ET
• Flexible start/end times outside core hours
