3-6 Elementary Teacher

Working period: 185 days. Salary starts at $45,000. Health insurance offered.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that adhere to the curriculum and state standards while meeting the learning needs of each student
• Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment by using a variety of instructional methods and resources
• Assess students’ progress and adjust lessons and/or provide remediation as needed
• Communicate with parents to discuss their child’s academic progress and behavior
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe and respectful classroom environment
• Provide individualized instruction to meet the needs of students with varying intellectual and physical abilities
• Collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and staff to improve overall student performance and school quality
• Participate in professional development to stay updated with new teaching methodologies and educational trends
• Demonstrate patience and flexibility when working with children and their diverse needs
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (or related field)
• Valid state-issued teaching license
• Pass the required Expanded Criminal History Check
• Proficiency in using educational technology
• Ability to display responsibility, initiative, productivity, and cooperation
