About the role
MIG weld automotive lifts and lift components as assigned by the Production Supervisor.
Pay
$20.19/hr with attendance incentive and $2 shift differential.
Schedule
4:00pm to 2:30am, Monday to Thursday and every other Friday.
Responsibilities
- MIG weld components for automotive lifts
- Place components on paint line
- Drive forklift when needed
- Assist in implementation of 6S initiatives and activities with an emphasis on safety
- Suggest and assist in process improvements which assure safety, quality, and efficiency
- Assist in assembly and fabrication processes as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to be certified in MIG welding in the horizontal position
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Basic blueprint reading
- Excellent communication skills; must be able to communicate at all levels of the organization
- Strong understanding of process interaction
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Understanding of general manufacturing
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and work extended hours
- Must be able to periodically lift up to 50 pounds
- Align with the Snap-on mission statement
- Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Hi-Vis Vest, Steel Toe Shoes, Safety Glasses or Prescription Safety Glasses (if applicable), Gloves (if applicable), and Ear Plugs (if applicable)
