Building a great career never tasted so good! We are seeking a Full-Time QA Lab Tech to join our Nottingham, PA team. Eligible for up to a $250.00 retention bonus.
Schedule
- Friday–Sunday, 2nd shift: 3:30 PM–3:30 AM
- Additional hours may be required due to business demands
Requirements
- Must complete a background check, pre-employment drug screen, and pre-placement physical screening
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds
- Must be able to work with latex gloves, airborne seasoning, cardboard dust, cleaning solutions, and hot water
- Must be able to work in a noisy and fast-paced environment
- Good balance on slippery surfaces
- Ability to sustain concentration for up to 3 hours at a time
Responsibilities
- Conduct hourly lab tests on finished product package weight
- Perform statistical averaging of test results
- Communicate test results to the shift supervisor and other key personnel
- Operate x-ray machines to inspect and test products as required
- Sample product and report results in a timely manner
- Compile product, package, and ingredient data as required
- Perform visual quality checks and locate products in the warehouse, production, and storage environment
- Learn testing processes and proper operating procedures for quality assurance lab equipment
- Communicate issues and information between shifts as required
- Abide by all Safe Quality Foods (SQF) policies
- Stand on production floor for up to 3 hours at a time
- Ensure manufacturing data is accurately entered and tracked in the ERP system (production orders, materials, finished goods)
- Update and maintain ERP records to reflect real-time data (production status, material usage, equipment maintenance)
- Enter production and manufacturing data into the ERP system (raw material consumption, machine usage, labor hours, quality control data)
- Track inventory levels in real-time and coordinate material replenishment
- Clean and sanitize work areas and food processing equipment, walls, floors, etc., using chemicals
- Always wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP) and Safe Quality Foods (SQF) rules; attend related meetings/training
