2nd shift Team lead

About the Role

This position provides guidance, instruction, direction, and leadership to the Production Team. The Team Lead will communicate all necessary information to the supervisor and management, supervising and leading an assigned team through daily warehouse activities to ensure smooth operations and efficient completion of projects.

Schedule: 4:30 PM – 3:30 AM, Monday-Friday with some Saturdays. Location: Phenix City, AL.

Responsibilities

• Daily Attendance:
  • Take roll at the beginning of the shift and maintain attendance throughout the shift for any early outs.
  • Keep attendance sheets accessible in case of evacuation.
  • Turn in attendance sheets daily to the supervisor.
  • Ensure team members wear all required PPE.
• Machine Checklist:
  • Complete the checklist on the side of each CRT machine.
  • Fill out the twice-hourly checklist two times per hour.
• Scrap Reporting:
  • Place scrap in the red scrap tote.
  • At the end of the shift, take scrap to the scrap trailer.
  • Both production and quality leads are responsible for the accuracy of the scrap report.
  • Empty red bins for the incoming shift (Quality supervisor or Rojas is responsible for scrap report collection).
• Team Meeting:
  • Hold a daily meeting to discuss the previous day’s performance.
  • Quality Leads will discuss the previous day's performance and issues.
• Coverage:
  • Understand coverage paperwork.
  • Validate that finished goods (FG) are in the appropriate shipping staging areas.
  • Validate the schedule versus the coverage report.
• 5S:
  • Maintain cleanliness of areas and machinery:
    • No trash on the floor.
    • No blocked aisles.
  • Restock the area with WIP and raw materials.
• Training:
  • Complete all OJT sheets for new operators.
  • Complete OJT sheets anytime an operator moves to a new machine.
• Monitoring:
  • Ensure employees work safely and efficiently while focusing on quality.
  • Know the whereabouts of employees; make rounds to notice if someone is missing for 10 minutes.
• Mentoring:
  • Take time to encourage and train employees.
  • Employees reflect the time and energy invested in them.
• Set the Example:
