ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures safety of personnel, processes, equipment, and housekeeping of the area.
• Guarantees all processes, equipment, and personnel are meeting quality standards.
• Conducts and ensures effectiveness of training and cross-training, and maintains training records.
• Assists Supervisor with employee development and administrative duties.
• Verifies accuracy of clock punches, reconciles time-clock exceptions, and performs inter-departmental time transfers.
• Assists Supervisor with employee scheduling and manpower allocation to meet production schedules and cost targets.
• Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment in area of responsibility.
• Leads operational efficiency by reviewing manpower and equipment requirements based on production needs.
• Reports and follows up on all process and equipment problems.
• Troubleshoots problems and participates in problem-solving teams.
• Identifies, recommends, and assists in implementing measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, quality of product, and productivity using lean manufacturing techniques.
