About the role
This position involves working on our assembly lines in the production of heavy-duty trucks. As a Production Technician, you will be responsible for adhering to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance. Your duties will include setting up and operating production equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures. As a Material Technician, you will be responsible for operating various pieces of equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, tuggers, and high stackers, and reading and understanding order tickets.Responsibilities
- Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety and environmental compliance.
- Use of air and hand tools, torque equipment, the reading of blueprints, truck specification sheets, and job instructions.
- Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Work as part of a team in the production of our vehicles.
- May be required to operate a forklift, cherry picker, tuggers, high stackers.
- Read and understand order tickets.
Requirements
- Be able to lift up to 50lbs. on a frequent basis.
- Be flexible to work first, second, and/or third shift.
- Be able to work in a standing, bending, and/or stretching position.
- Have a High School Diploma/equivalent or higher education.
- Have a stable work history.
- Mechanical aptitude and a general understanding of a manufacturing environment is preferred.
