2nd Shift Production Forklift Operator/ Mon-Fri 3:30pm-2:00am

About the role

Hood Container is seeking a Forklift Operator to join their team in Louisville, Kentucky. This position offers competitive pay, shift differentials, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Ensure inventory accuracy by verifying materials entering and leaving the warehouse.
• Keep the warehouse and production floor organized and safe.
• Partner with Production Planning to ensure materials are available for upcoming orders.
• Pull and prepare jobs for the next shift's production run.
• Quickly fulfill material replenishment requests to avoid production delays.
• Handle and load scrap materials efficiently.
• Operate and maintain a forklift safely to prevent damage to products, equipment, and personnel.
• Inspect propane cylinders to ensure they are stored properly and filled as required.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of warehousing and inventory control experience.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer proficiency, strong math skills, and attention to detail.
• A safety focus, committed to maintaining a safe work environment.
• A willingness to work overtime as needed.
