Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of assembly tasks, including folding, assembling, labeling, laying, rolling stock, inspecting, cutting, and boxing, while meeting department efficiency standards.
  • Report any unusual material, equipment problems, or work conditions to a supervisor or production lead, including deviations from quality standards, good manufacturing practices, or safety standards.
  • Work from product specifications or manuals to ensure quality.
  • Inspect work as needed and perform simple, routine, and repetitive tasks using standard procedures.
  • Maintain housekeeping in the assigned work area during line stoppages, production runs, and at the end of the shift.
  • Perform all duties safely while wearing required personal protective equipment (e.g., gloves, apron, safety glasses, back support).
  • Observe all safety rules and report hazards to the supervisor immediately.
  • Be punctual and maintain regular attendance.
  • Follow all company rules and regulations as outlined in the Employee Handbook or department policy.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Able to work overtime on short notice.
  • Able to perform tasks in a standing position for extended periods.
  • Able to meet the physical, visual, and auditory requirements of the role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent level of education.
  • Manufacturing or assembly experience.
  • Enjoys collaborating with a partner.

Physical and Mental Demands

  • Regularly use hands and fingers to lift, move, and handle products, materials, tools, and controls.
  • Frequently stand, reach with hands and arms, walk, or climb with legs; periodically sit, pull, bend, twist, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Routinely lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  • Good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination are required.

Working Environment

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud near operating equipment. Hearing protection and safety glasses may be required.
  • Must be able to hear the fork truck horn.
  • Able to work alone for extended periods and collaborate with others as required.
