Responsibilities
- Safely set up, operate, and troubleshoot hydraulic press brake equipment.
- Perform mechanical die changes efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production specifications.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure compliance with quality standards and measurements.
- Perform quality checks including measurements, weight, density, and dimensional verification using measuring tools and mathematical calculations.
- Complete routine preventive maintenance tasks, including fluid checks, machine cleanups, and reporting equipment concerns or malfunctions.
- Accurately record production data including piece counts, downtime, and completion times.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain consistent production output while meeting safety and quality expectations.
- Assist with general production and assembly tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of hydraulic press brake operating experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints required.
- Experience working with sheet metal preferred.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Strong mathematical skills, including fraction and decimal conversions.
- Ability to use measuring instruments and inspection tools accurately.
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance skills preferred.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including shift work and occasional weekends.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
