Essential Functions
- Auxiliary staff members should uphold, promote, and encourage the desired organizational culture and values.
- Auxiliary staff members should alert the Women’s Shelter Manager of any changes or concerns within the department.
- Auxiliary staff members should maintain constant communication while on shift with other Women’s shelter staff as needed.
- Auxiliary staff members should incorporate Biblical principles into interactions with guests and other staff that build positive and productive relationships.
- Auxiliary staff members should maintain a loving and peaceful environment by exercising spiritual care over guests as needed.
- Auxiliary staff members should assist guests with basic needs while on their shift.
- Auxiliary staff members should submit all reports to the Women’s Shelter Manager as requested on time.
- Auxiliary staff members should exercise utmost diplomacy and tact to provide excellent guest service, practicing confidentiality and privacy protocol in accordance with Kalamazoo Gospel Ministries Policies.
- Auxiliary staff members should exercises problem-solving and conflict resolution skills when handling guest complaints; referring guest complaints to appropriate personnel as needed.
- Auxiliary staff members should hold guests accountable for inappropriate behavior and enforce discipline procedures when necessary according to the Kalamazoo Gospel Ministries policies.
- Auxiliary staff members should invest time in guests’ lives that will encourage positive growth both at the mission and in their future.
- Auxiliary staff members should perform simple yet effective first aid care in emergencies.
- Auxiliary staff members should attend all scheduled staff meetings.
- Auxiliary staff members should perform all duties as may be required.
- Auxiliary staff members should adhere to the policies and procedures of the Kalamazoo Gospel Ministries.
