2nd Shift Metal Finishing Operator (Passivation)

Employee Type: Hourly | Salary Range: $40,000 – $60,000 USD (actual offer based on experience, skills, qualifications, market considerations, and geographic location).

Schedule

• Regular shift: Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
• Training: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (approximately 2–4 weeks)

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate passivation, tumble, heat-treat, and cleaning operations.
• Maintain tooling and equipment related to PCH operations.
• Perform basic machining operations using assigned machine tools.
• Review and complete required daily documentation; prepare and maintain records and reports.
• Maintain established quality standards and ensure work area and equipment are clean, safe, and orderly.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations, including wearing and maintaining personal protective equipment.
• Operate equipment safely and participate as a member of work teams.
• Assist in measuring team performance for safety, quality, cost, and continuous improvement.
• Read, follow, and interpret blueprints, diagrams, specifications, bills of materials, and procedures to assemble products accurately.
• Maintain inventory of product in workstations.
• Perform quality work checks and identify product defects; complete appropriate documentation for defects.
• Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
• Attend required training programs and perform 5S activities.
• Assist in training other associates in procedures and use of equipment.
• Read and use various inspection equipment, precision tools, and apply basic inspection and sound measurement practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 6 months’ work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to remain productive under indirect supervision and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Basic mathematical aptitude.
