About the role

Hitachi Energy is seeking a 2nd Shift Material Handler for its Mount Pleasant, PA Distribution Center. This is an Experienced Para-Professional (S2) role requiring basic knowledge of job procedures and tools obtained through work experience, which may include vocational or technical education. The position works under moderate supervision, handling routine problems that may require interpretation or deviation from standard procedures.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload various transport items within the warehouse, ensuring deliveries match purchase orders accurately.
• Meticulously record inventory statuses, track stock levels, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Label products and organize them appropriately within the warehouse; identify and locate the right products during the delivery process.
• Handle returns by completing technical documentation and other necessary communication.
• Collaborate with internal departments to locate missing packages, rectify incorrect deliveries, and replace damaged products.
• Move and store materials/products using a combination of manual labor and low-complexity machinery/equipment (e.g., forklifts and conveyors), including:
  • Handling and maintaining the flow of materials and products according to established guidelines.
  • Logging the movement of incoming and outgoing materials and products.
  • Operating low-complexity motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment.

Requirements

• GED or High School degree required.
• Must already have work authorization that permits employment with Hitachi Energy in the United States.
• Basic knowledge of job procedures and tools obtained through work experience; vocational or technical education may be required.
• Proficiency in communicating information that requires some explanation or interpretation.
