Job Functions
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on Robotic Cell system components, including robots, conveyors, electrical and control systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software issues affecting Robotic Cell functionality.
- Execute corrective maintenance activities in a timely manner to restore system performance.
- Collaborate with vendors or internal and external service providers for specialized repairs or parts replacement.
- Perform scheduled inspections and maintenance on conveyors, and other material handling equipment.
- Identify and address mechanical, electrical, and control system issues impacting equipment performance.
- Execute repairs, adjustments, and replacements of faulty components to ensure optimal functionality.
Safety and Compliance
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while conducting maintenance activities.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and regulations related to Robotic Cell and material handling systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and local regulations.
- Document safety incidents and maintain safety records.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and replacements.
- Generate reports detailing equipment performance, downtime incidents, and maintenance tasks completed.
- Communicate maintenance status and requirements to the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the Robotic Cell and material handling systems.
- Recommend upgrades, modifications, or enhancements to optimize system performance.
Training and Development
- Stay current with emerging technologies and advancements in Robotics and material handling systems.
- Provide training to other maintenance staff or operations personnel on system operation and basic troubleshooting.
Travel Requirements
Less than 5% overnight travel (Travel expenses paid by Bastian Solutions)
Preferred Skills And Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training in automation, robotics, or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in maintaining and troubleshooting material handling equipment.
- Robotic Cell maintenance experience a plus.
- Proven experience utilizing voltmeters to troubleshoot electrical and controls issues.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and control systems relevant to robotics.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and specialized equipment for maintenance tasks.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations related to automation and material handling systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills for reporting, documentation, and interaction with other team members.
- Must be eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and components (up to 75 lbs).
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, dust, and temperature fluctuations.
