About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Tech III to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and machinery, ensuring uninterrupted operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, a proactive approach to maintenance, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs on motors, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and other systems.
- Conduct inspections and tests to identify potential issues and address them before failure occurs.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with production staff to address equipment malfunctions and optimize performance.
- Install new equipment and systems, ensuring proper setup and functionality.
- Assist in the planning and execution of equipment upgrades or modifications.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and recommendations for future action.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Adhere to workplace safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage of tools and equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related field.
- Certifications in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems are a plus.
Skills
- Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in environments with machinery noise, vibration, and potential exposure to chemicals.
