2nd Shift Machine Operator - Finishing Department

About the role

The role involves operating various finishing machines including Press Brake, Shear, and Hot Melt Machines. The position can start at Level 1 Finisher, progressing to Level 2 and Level 3 based on performance and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Press Brake, Shear, or Hot machine as a helper.
• Assist main Finishers in shearing panels, bending edges, and pouring Polyamide.
• Use measuring tape, calipers, perform basic math operations, and conduct visual inspections to meet quality standards.
• Support the team in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Adjust schedules to prioritize work as needed.
• Perform other tasks of equal or lesser grade as required.
• Promote Fenner Precision Polymers values and behaviors.
• Level 2 Finisher: Operate as a main Finisher, dictate correct setups and machine settings, provide direction to helpers, and assist and train Level I and II Finishers.
• Level 3 Finisher: Preset, setup, and be a main Finisher on all machines, participate in LEAN and World Class improvement activities, assist and train Level I and II Finishers, and promote company values.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED, along with one to three months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Must have the ability to follow EHS policies, attend required training, wear appropriate PPE, and report hazards.
