2nd Shift Machine Helper

About the role

Join a team that oversees the entire process of creating corrugated products, serving local and national customers in the Food Grade, Medical Grade, or Retail industries. You’ll see how boxes are made—from a single sheet of paper to the final product delivered to customers worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow instructions provided by the supervisor.
• Work collaboratively with the crew/team as a helper.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Maximize piece-rate speed on assigned tasks.
• Lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Cross-train for other job positions as necessary.
• Complete accurate and timely reports, including Production Data, Safety Data, and Quality Data.
• Submit equipment work orders to supervision for needed repairs.
• Proactively maintain equipment.
• Switch duties with the First Helper as needed.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and housekeeping.
• Adhere to the production schedule and recommend optimizations to meet cost, quality, and service goals.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
• Read a tape measure accurately.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• Prior work experience in the corrugated industry or a fulfillment operation (preferred).
• Ability to read, write, communicate efficiently, and follow instructions on factory masters.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

• Stand, walk, lift, push, pull, squat, and swivel.
• Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to:

• Moving mechanical parts.
• Hot, humid, and/or cold conditions.
• Fumes, airborne particles, and vibrations.
• Louder-than-normal environments and a high-paced atmosphere.

Schedule

• Monday–Thursday: 3:30 PM–2:00 AM
• Friday: Overtime as needed
