Department: Packaging Operations Employment Type: Full Time Location: LaGrange, GA Description Responsible for assisting the Maintenance Manager in the accomplishment of departmental goals. Primary responsibility will include planning and implementation of plant projects. Key Responsibilities Ability to coordinate all phases of plant projects to include:Analyzing possible solutions Communicating with affected parties regarding possible solutionsPreparing recommended plan of actionCommunicating with management regarding approval of planDesigning project to include required labor and materialNegotiating with vendors for materialsPreparing and obtaining approval for estimated costs based on material and labor expectationsEstablished deadline for completion of projectSupervising project through completion by established deadlineCoach, teach, train, motivate and oversee Maintenance Associates to accomplish the goals of the company.Maintain communication with Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Associates, Production Supervisor and Operation’s Manager.Complete all required paperwork.Communicate, administer and enforce company rules, policies and procedures consistently and equitably.Responsible for ensuring food packaging safety, food defense and quality standards.Participate as an Alternate team member. Alternate team member will provide coverage for said responsibilities in absence and member will provide coverage for Alternate team member’s responsibilities in case of their absence.Build cooperation and team spirit among Maintenance Associates through effective utilization of employee relation skills.Assist with other duties as determined by Maintenance Supervisor. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Requires five years of supervisory experience. Requires millwright experience to include moving and installing equipment. Must have excellent welding and fabrication skills. Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment. Must have good written and oral communication skills. Must be able to read blueprints and work with or without prints. Must be proficient math skills. Must be able to work with minimal or no supervision.. Must be able to organize and plan work. Must display positive attitude. Ability to handle stress of deadlines and constantly changing priorities. Must be willing to work any shift and overtime as required. Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Must be highly safety conscious.
