2nd Shift General Merchandise Clerk

About the Role

This entry-level team member position will be exposed to a variety of retail tasks related to product, customer service, and merchandising. As a General Merchandise Clerk, you will collaborate with other team members and managers on additional tasks as needed. This position is applicable to the following departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral.

Schedule hours will vary between 2pm and 11pm with weekends required.

Responsibilities

• Build rapport with customers and display a friendly, outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language.
• Help customers with any questions they may have; if you can’t answer their question, direct them to another team member who can.
• Stock product and maintain displays according to merchandising standards.
• Utilize technology to complete activities and tasks.

• Strong listening and communication skills, both face-to-face and virtually.
• Willingness to learn or existing familiarity with job-specific technology.
• Problem-solving competence and eagerness to troubleshoot when necessary.
