About the role

Leidos’ Defense Systems Electronic Manufacturing Facility is seeking a 2nd Shift Electrical-Mechanical Assembly Lab Manager to join their team at their Electronics Manufacturing Facility. The position involves leading a technician team that builds electro/mechanical assemblies, managing production efforts, communicating with customers, and enforcing company policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team of IPC-620 certified technicians in building various electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Communicate with customers (internal or external) to provide updates on both schedule and cost.
• Provide employee feedback and handle any disciplinary matters.
• Review and approve time sheets and verify their accuracy.
• Enforce and follow company policies as applicable.
• Engage with peers to share best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or a Masters with 2-6 years of prior relevant work experience.
• In lieu of a degree, a High School diploma/GED with 10 years of experience may be considered.
• Strong experience working with teams.
• Ability to multi-task and meet multiple objectives over similar time periods.
• US Citizenship and a Final Secret Clearance OR eligibility to obtain a Secret Clearance required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4-8 years of relevant experience.
• Masters with 2-6 years of relevant work experience.
• High School diploma/GED with 10 years of experience.
• Current or prior certification in IPC/WHM-A-620.
• Experience leading a team.
• Experience working 2nd shift.
• MES (Solumina or Aegis) build tracking experience preferred.
