2nd shift Die-cutter Operator

About the role

PDF Seal is searching for a 2nd shift Die Cutting Operator to contribute to the success of our production of foil lids at our facility in Hauppauge, NY. The position is responsible for operating a die cutting line on 2nd shift (3pm-12pm) with overtime as needed.

PDF Seal produces pre-die cut lids to seal cups and trays for both consumer and food service packaged products. PDF Seal is a division of Modern, a leading provider of cup and tray filling solutions for the food, beverage, and dairy industries, with systems capable of filling everything from dry foods to viscous liquid products into single- and multi-serve packages. As part of the ProMach Filling business line, Modern helps our packaging customers protect their reputation and grow the trust of their consumers.

Responsibilities

• Operate die cutting machine and inspect product before packaging
• Manage the production of the machine schedule
• Clean the die cutting machine
• Complete production charts and use the scanning system
• Adhere to all company safety policies
• Perform job according to written company standard operating procedures
• Report any product safety or quality concerns to your supervisor
• Maintain a clean work area throughout the shift

Requirements

• High School diploma preferred
• 1-2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Excellent attendance and punctuality required
• Able to work independently and in a team environment
• Flexible, organized, and dedicated in order to get the job done
• Good interpersonal skills to successfully interact with others

Pay

Base Salary Range: $20.00/hr - $25.00/hr.
