2nd Shift Deli Bakery Clerk

About the Role

As a Food Clerk at Meijer, you’ll deliver remarkable customer service by providing customers with exceptional product knowledge, efficient service, and a friendly attitude. You’ll play a vital role in keeping our store running smoothly while positively impacting the community we serve. This position is available in the Bakery and Deli departments, with shifts between 2 PM and 10 PM.

Responsibilities

• Build rapport with customers and display a friendly, outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language.
• Respond to customer questions effectively and professionally.
• Stock product and maintain displays according to merchandising standards.
• Utilize technology to complete tasks and activities.
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures to ensure quality service and products.

• Detail-oriented and organized with strong listening and communication skills (face-to-face and virtually).
• Willingness to learn or existing familiarity with job-specific technology.

• Physical ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, twist, and stand for long periods.

Pay

This role follows a step pay plan starting between $15.25 and $16.98 per hour, with raises occurring after predetermined hours worked. The actual rate offered will meet or exceed the legal wage requirement for the job's location.
