2nd Shift Custodial Position

Windom Area Schools is hiring a 2nd shift maintenance/custodial position for the school district. This is a 12-month, full-time role.

Responsibilities

• Follow general cleaning and sanitizing procedures
• Maintain a clean and pleasant environment
• Work independently and take direction
• Lift 50 lbs. occasionally and 15 lbs. frequently
• Use electronic communication tools (email, text messaging, radios, etc.)

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Knowledge of custodial cleaning practices
• Special boiler license or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
• 1st Class C Boiler License or ability to obtain within 3 years of hire
• Experience in facility management preferred
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a job-related field

Pay

Union contract hourly range based on education, experience, and qualifications: $18.15 - $21.63 (2025-2026 school year rates; subject to change with new contract).
