About the role

Gordon Food Service takes pride in delivering seamless order processing and delivery to our customers, and our warehouse staff is the backbone of our success. The Dock Coordinator manages the dock space, including organization and prioritization of the freight. This position is located at 4980 Gateway Blvd., Springfield, Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks using a forklift/pallet jack
• Stage product to be broken down
• Sort freight to be hauled to replenishment aisles within the warehouse
• Manage dock space, including organization and prioritization of freight

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed
• Ability to work in extreme cold or hot conditions (frozen products environment)
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions)
• Successfully pass a drug test and background check
• Prior warehouse experience preferred but not required
• Veterans and active military members encouraged to apply
