2nd Shift Crew Leader - Task MX3/4

Job involves supervisory oversight of a section of the Task team without direct management authority.

About the role

The Crew Leader leads a team to complete daily and weekly tasks on schedule and records the time taken for each task.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Train and motivate team members to reach daily production goals
• Conduct crew meetings to provide clear instruction on daily tasks
• Ensure safety policies are followed at all times
• Set up all work areas
• Inspect the quality of all products
• Maintain open communication with Manager and Directors
• Complete all daily reports
• Ensure employees follow safety requirements and operational processes
• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• 1+ year(s) experience in a leadership role
• 1+ year(s) experience in Manufacturing/Warehouse environment
• 1+ year(s) experience in horticulture growing
• Strong leadership skills and ability to give/receive constructive feedback
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Basic math skills
• Ability to work and communicate across multiple departments
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Problem-solving, troubleshooting, and solution-seeking abilities
• Detailed-oriented with the ability to multitask
• Must be able to work in various types of weather conditions
• Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic Office 365 skills in Excel, Teams, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Job Setting & Physical Demands

This position is primarily outdoors but may require indoor office work for administrative duties, including computer use and standard office equipment. Fluency in reading, writing, and understanding English is required. Must be able to work in all outdoor elements, including dust and allergens, and occasionally in confined spaces.

• Long-term ability for standing, sitting, squatting, bending, reaching, and twisting
• Ability to operate machinery, including table lifters and internal vehicles
• Ability to lift 35 pounds unaided and regularly lift up to 50 pounds with assistance
