2nd Shift Coil Operator

About the role

The coil press operator is responsible for processing finished parts in the production line. This role requires a combination of technical skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assume a processing role in the production of finished parts
• Work as part of a team to achieve company goals
• Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
• Meet production goals and adhere to deadlines
• Read and process written communication including work orders and measurements
• Operate various machinery including fabricating machines, band saws, tape measures, and mechanical tools
• Physically lift and maneuver heavy items
• Solve problems independently and under supervision
• Maintain professional relationships with colleagues and customers
• Adapt to changing priorities and stressful situations

Requirements

• 2+ years of coil press experience
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to read and process written communication
• Physical stamina to lift and maneuver heavy items
• Problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and under supervision
• Knowledge of production systems
• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changes

Qualifications

• Manufacturing/industry experience preferred
• Successful problem-solving skills
• Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
