2nd Shift Coil Operator
About the role
The coil press operator is responsible for processing finished parts in the production line. This role requires a combination of technical skills and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Assume a processing role in the production of finished parts
- Work as part of a team to achieve company goals
- Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
- Meet production goals and adhere to deadlines
- Read and process written communication including work orders and measurements
- Operate various machinery including fabricating machines, band saws, tape measures, and mechanical tools
- Physically lift and maneuver heavy items
- Solve problems independently and under supervision
- Maintain professional relationships with colleagues and customers
- Adapt to changing priorities and stressful situations
Requirements
- 2+ years of coil press experience
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and process written communication
- Physical stamina to lift and maneuver heavy items
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and under supervision
- Knowledge of production systems
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changes
Qualifications
- Manufacturing/industry experience preferred
- Successful problem-solving skills
- Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
