2nd Shift CNC Operator

Essential Functions

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and make corrections and adjustments to CNC lathe equipment, including life tooling.
• Make insert changes and adjust properly to bring part to size.
• Familiar with various types of gauging and measuring devices including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, plug gauges, bore gauges etc., and able to perform quality inspections.
• Able to read blue prints.
• Willingness to learn and use Data Log system at the machines.
• Follow Preventative Maintenance PM sheets and fill them out when completed (adding coolant, checking concentration, removing chip build up, grease up chuck, checking oil and adding if needed, changing out scrap barrel for empty one when needed).
• Maintain work area in a clean, orderly fashion.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities to eliminate waste and streamline processes to increase productivity and quality.

Requirements

• High School Degree or equivalent.
• Familiarity with multiple types of presses and assembly sequences.
• The ability to use various gauging/measuring devices, ovens, sandblaster, die cutter and label maker.
• Mechanical Aptitude.
