Location: Oberlin, OH
Hours: Monday–Friday, 2:30 pm–11:00 pm
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mills and grinders to produce precision parts
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and production documentation
- Change fixtures, tooling, and tooling offsets to ensure accurate machine setup
- Edit CNC programs and adjust G & M Codes, speeds, and feeds
- Work with X, Y, and Z axis, as well as 4th and 5th axis machining
- Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring equipment
- Troubleshoot machining issues and work with production and engineering teams
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while meeting quality and production goals
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ year of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience setting up and operating CNC machinery
- Knowledge of X, Y, and Z axes and an understanding of 4th and 5th axis CNC machining
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
- Knowledge of G & M Codes and CNC program editing
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
