Location: Wallingford, CT | Department: Production | Full-time, hourly position on 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM).
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of cable manufacturing operations to construct cable following established methods, procedures, or instructions.
- Work from shop orders and other instructions to set up and operate simultaneously: taping equipment, respooling equipment, and braiding machines as directed.
- Make all necessary adjustments to obtain and maintain proper lay tension and other factors to ensure compliance with finish specifications.
- Remain alert, performing all needed adjustments to ensure operations such as wrapping and braiding result in compliance with specifications.
- Perform other departmental operations as assigned.
- Detect and report defective material, faulty operation, and unusual conditions to proper supervision.
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Follow environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- 2 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to comprehend parts/operator manuals and instructions.
- Solid troubleshooting ability.
Pay
Hourly wage range: $23.99 – $25.74.
Schedule
2nd shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM.
