About the role
The 2nd Grade Teacher is a full-time, on-site role located in Waco, TX.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement age-appropriate curriculum
- Manage classroom routines
- Absess student progress
- Provide differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff
- Communicate regularly with families
- Maintain accurate records
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives and professional development activities
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Elementary Education and Teaching, with experience supporting young learners in core subject areas.
- Ability to design and implement effective Curriculum Development and Education practices aligned with state standards and school goals.
- Strong Communication skills, including clear instructional delivery, constructive feedback to students, and professional communication with families and colleagues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; valid Texas teaching certification or eligibility to obtain certification for elementary grades.
- Experience in classroom management, differentiated instruction, and integrating educational technology to enhance learning.
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive teaching, with the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse school community.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to grade-level and campus-wide planning.
