Lead Teacher Responsibilities & Duties

• Internalize and deliver lesson plans aligned to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for the assigned content and grade level.
• Provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs.
• Absess students' progress and adjust teaching methods as necessary.
• Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and families to ensure student success.
• Implement positive behavior interventions and support (PBIS) and other behavior management strategies.
• Effectively manage a classroom and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Interpret and explain student data and progress monitoring.
• Use technology and multimedia resources in the classroom.
• Stay current on best practices and developments in education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
• Valid Texas state certification or license as a teacher.
• ESL supplement preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
